Al is a member of the Board of Governors of the Iowa State Bar Association, representing District 8 A of Iowa. When Al is not practicing law he spends his time boating, traveling, hiking and reading. Al is very involved with Indian Hills Community College, in Ottumwa, Iowa. Al is on the board of the Indian Hills Foundation, and has served as President of the Foundation in recent years. The Indian Hills Foundation raises money for scholarship purposes.
